Not only do restaurants not increase their prices when there is a demand surge, many restaurants offer lunch specials with lower prices than at times of lower demand! I'd assume that this curious phenomenon is a result of the demand curve rising more on the low end than on the high end at that time, but I don't know much about pricing, so I'm just spitballing here.
